Privacy Policy
VA4Hire (“us,” “we,” or “our”) compiled this Privacy Policy to explain how we
collect, use, protect, or handle the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of our
site users. PII, as described in the United States privacy law and information
security, are the information we can only use; or with other information, to identify,
contact, or locate a person, or to recognize an individual in context.
By using the site and accepting the user agreement, you agree to this Privacy
Policy, too. If you do not agree to this privacy notice, please do not use the VA4Hire
site (https://www.va4hire.ph/).

people, authorized to such systems and required to keep the information
confidential, can access them. Likewise, all sensitive/credit information you supply
is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
For your convenience, we may store your credit card information to speed up future
orders and automate the billing procedure.

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your
computer’s hard drive through your web browser (with your consent). They help
the site or the service provider's systems recognize your browser and capture and
remember vital information. For example, we use cookies to help us understand
your preferences based on earlier or current site activity that lets us give you
improved services.
We use cookies for these purposes:
- Offer you improved services by understanding your preferences based on your earlier or current site activity
- Compile aggregate data about site traffic and interaction, so we can offer better site experience and tools in the future
- Keep track of ads
In your browser settings, you can choose to have your computer warn you each
time you will get a cookie, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. Since the
browser is a little different, look at your browser's Help menu to learn the right way
to change your cookies.
Disabling Cookies
If you turn the cookies off, a few of the features that make your website experience
more efficient may not function.
Do Not Track Signal
Please understand that we do not alter our data gathering and usage systems
whenever we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser
Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise, transfer to outside parties your PII unless we
send you advance notice. This excludes hosting partners and parties that assist us
in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users as long as
they agree to keep the data confidential. We may give details when appropriate to
comply with the law, enforce our Privacy Policy, or protect ours or others’ rights,
property, or safety.
However, we may offer non-personally identifiable visitor information to other
parties for marketing, advertising, or further uses.
Third-Party Links
Sometimes, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or
services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent
privacy policies. We, therefore, are not liable for the content and activities of these
linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome
any feedback users may have about them.
VA4Hire’s Project Management Portal
The Project Management Portal of our site aims to ease the communication and
exchange and/or sharing of information between employers/business owners and
workers (job seekers, freelancers). VA4Hire reserves the right to monitor
communications in the said portal to prove compliance with our Terms of Use, with
global or state laws, and/or with our other stated policies.
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
CalOPPA is the first state law in the United States that requires commercial
websites and online services to post a privacy statement. The law calls for every
person or firm that operates online and collects PII from consumers to post a
conspicuous privacy notice on its website. They should state what information they
collect and with whom they share such data.
In compliance with CalOPPA, we agree to the following:
- Users can visit our site in disguise
- Once posted, we will add a link to this Privacy Policy on our home page or, at a minimum, on the first significant page of our website
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “privacy” and can be found on the page specified above
We will tell you of any change to this Privacy Policy. You can change your personal
information by sending us an email or by logging in to your account.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices principles form the backbone of privacy law in the
United States. Further, the concepts they include have played a vital role in forming
data protection laws around the globe. Understanding and knowing how to
implement them is critical to complying with the various privacy laws that protect
personal data.
To be in line with Fair Information Practices, we will tell you by email or on our
website within Seven (7) Business Days if a data breach occurred.
We agree to the Individual Redress Principle that asks individuals to have the right
to pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to obey
the law. This principle asks individuals to have enforceable rights against data users
and recourse to courts or government agencies to probe and/or prosecute non-
compliance by data processors.
CAN-SPAM Act
This law aims to set the rules for campaign emails, launch requirements for
commercial messages, give recipients the right to stop getting emails, and explain
tough fines for abuses.
We collect your email address for the following reasons:
- Send data and respond to your requests or questions
- Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to clients after the original transaction has occurred
To align with the CAN-SPAM Act, we agree to the following terms:
- Include the physical address of our business (or our site headquarters)
- Identify the message as an ad in some reasonable way
- Never use false or misleading subjects or email addresses
- Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance (if we use one)
- Respect and perform the unsubscribe requests of the users
- Let users opt out by contacting us
If you want to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can send us a
message at info@va4hire.ph, and we will remove you from all correspondences.
Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
We do not, on purpose, collect PII from children under 13 years old. The Federal
Trade Commission, a US consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA rule that
states what website operators and online services must do to protect the online
privacy and safety of children. If a parent or guardian learns that his or her child
gave us personal information without his/her consent, he or she should contact us
at info@va4hire.ph. Yet, if we learned that a child under 13 has given us his/her
PII, we will use our best efforts to delete such information from our files right away.
